Serbia Spice Packaging Project – Automatic Salt & Pepper Bottle Filling Line for Multiple Container Sizes

Project Overview

A food seasoning manufacturer in Serbia required a flexible automated packaging solution for salt powder and pepper products.

The customer needed one complete production line capable of handling multiple bottle sizes and bottle materials while maintaining stable filling accuracy and reliable capping performance.

The project included several different shaker bottle designs used for both salt and pepper packaging, creating additional requirements for bottle handling compatibility and production flexibility.

Customer Requirements

The customer’s packaging requirements included:

• 7-8 different bottle styles
• Plastic and glass shaker bottles
• Multiple bottle heights and diameters
• Salt powder and pepper filling applications
• Automatic capping and labeling processes
• Stable high-speed production operation

Required production capacity:

• 2500-3000 bottles/hour
• Approximately 42-50 bottles/minute

The project also involved a long-distance powder feeding requirement, as the salt powder source was located approximately 30 meters away from the production line using jumbo bag material supply.

Another important challenge was that some bottles could occasionally deform slightly during handling, which could affect cap sealing performance. The customer required a solution with strong compatibility and operational stability.

Based on the customer’s production requirements, DJ-PACK designed and manufactured a fully automatic salt and pepper bottle filling line with customized configuration adjustments for different bottle types.

The complete line included:
