This Serbian seasoning project brought salt and pepper packaging together with eight container formats. That makes the application more demanding than a single-size bottle filling task. Dingjiang’s work centred on the relationship between the product, each container geometry and the equipment that moves the package through filling and closing.
Container height, diameter, opening and stability influence the transfer points and the presentation of the container under the dosing station. The project equipment references show a combination-weighing and container-filling arrangement. The dosing route for each salt or pepper product should follow the actual material behaviour; each product’s dosing requirements can therefore be addressed within the appropriate configuration.
For a multi-format seasoning line, the useful engineering document is a container matrix linking each package to its product, target weight and closure. That matrix provides a basis for reviewing change parts, settings and sample trials. It also allows factory demonstrations to be organized by format, rather than relying on a general statement that a machine is flexible.
The case demonstrates how line planning can support a seasoning manufacturer with a varied packaging range. The focus is coordinated handling and format-specific configuration from filling to the downstream package stages. For another manufacturer, the number of supported containers and achievable output must follow sample review and testing of that manufacturer’s own product and packaging.
Review its drawing and sample against the existing filling, conveying and closing arrangement; change parts or adjustments may be needed.
Selection depends on the material form, flow and target weight. Review the dosing configuration for each product.
